All new employees to the business are taken through a Company Induction, which emphasises the standards we expect from them, and the rules for working safely. This induction takes all employees through:
Specialised employees, such as Window Cleaners, Grounds Maintenance and Administration, receive additional induction training about the equipment they use and the tasks that they will perform.
Our training does not stop after Company Induction. Employees are trained to do their job by a Supervisor or an experienced employee, until they are competent in those tasks. Training records are kept, and new employees working practices regularly checked.
At Cinderella we commit to training and developing our existing employees as well as the new ones. Enthusiastic and capable employees are encouraged to develop their skills and qualifications; for example we train carpet cleaners to become Woolsafe Certified, and encourage budding abseilers to take their IRATA qualification.
We know that it is important to our customers to always get the work done to the same high standard, no matter if employees are on holiday or absent from work.
To ensure that we do not let our customers down, we have a pool of mobile and multi-skilled employees who are used to cover employees holiday and absence. To prevent employee absence becoming a problem Cinderella operates a stringent procedure for managing absence and lateness.
We pride ourselves on being a great company to work for; in a recent employee survey 100% of employees responded that they felt Cinderella always valued them as an employee. 75% of those who responded said that they were always happy working for Cinderella, with the other 25% saying they were often happy working for Cinderella.
